How to Track OpenRouter Usage
Use the OpenRouter dashboard for full logs, or OpenRouter Widget for at-a-glance monitoring on your Home Screen.
The OpenRouter dashboard at openrouter.ai shows your balance and activity when you sign in. OpenRouter Widget is for when you want the same signal without opening a browser.
- 1. Get a Management API key — Sign in at openrouter.ai, open account settings, and create a Management API key. Use a dedicated key for the widget and rotate it if exposed.
- 2. Install OpenRouter Widget — Download OpenRouter Widget from the App Store (https://apps.apple.com/ng/app/openrouter-tracker/id6762788059), then open the app.
- 3. Add your API key — Paste your Management API key in the app. It is saved to your device secure storage and never sent to our servers.
- 4. Add a Home Screen widget — Long-press your Home Screen, tap "+", search for "OpenRouter Widget", choose a size, and tap Add Widget.
- 5. Monitor usage — Your widgets show credits, activity, and model breakdowns. Open the app to force a refresh; widgets update on iOS's background schedule.
